• October 18-19: Alyssa Ashcroft notices a Hooded Man watching her everywhere she goes.^[1]
• October 19: In the Wrenwood Hotel, the phone in Alyssa's room rang with her daughter, Grace, answering it. The caller asked if Ashcroft was on the phone before hanging up. Immediately after, the hotel's power went out. Realising the man was coming for her, Alyssa quickly ushered Grace to leave the hotel. Moving down to the lobby, they met the hotel manager, who assured them the blackout was natural due to the old circuitry. The man was shortly killed by the Hooded Man. Alyssa quickly opened fire on the man and locked him in the reception's backroom. Not wanting to risk anyone learning about Grace's connection to Spencer, Ashcroft hides the MO disc containing her interview with Spencer's along with her journal behind a picture frame. They reach the hotel's lounge, Alyssa promised she would tell her what she needs to know. Before they could leave, the Hooded Man fatally swung a machete into Alyssa's neck, killing her. With the hooded man succumbing to the gunshot wounds, his body crashed into a table and caused a lit oil lantern to fall and set the room on fire. Grace was left to mourn her mother's death.^[2] Shortly after, The Wrenwood Hotel closes.^[3]
