Monopoly (Chinese: 大富翁; Pinyin: dàfùwēng) was a nightclub (夜總會) in the Chinese coastal city of Lanshiang, likely located somewhere in Waiyip due to the presence of ad posters near the Waiyip Wholesale Market.^[1] As posters for the nightclub included Japanese writing, it may have appealed to foreign clientele.

• Monopoly is based on a real bar in Hong Kong which Capcom's photo-research team saw posters for. The Golden Mongkong Karaoke Nightclub (Chinese: 金旺角卡拉OK夜總會; Pinyin: Jīn wàngjiǎo kǎlā-OK yèzǒnghuì) is an exotic karaoke lounge on Portland Street.
