The Separating Agent is an item that appears in Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.
Gameplay
Unlike the Chem Fluid and its strong variant, the Separating Agent is used to extract the mentioned chemicals from items that have been combined with them.
However, using the Separating Agent will only yield its chemical, for example, using the Separating Agent on a First Aid Med will only extract the Chem Fluid while the Herb that was used to make it will be gone.

- 1 Strong First Aid Med + Separating Agent = 1 Strong Chem Fluid
- 10 Handgun Ammo + Separating Agent = 1 Chem Fluid
- 10 Enhanced Handgun Ammo + Separating Agent = 1 Strong Chem Fluid
- 1 Flame/Neuro Round + Separating Agent = 1 Strong Chem Fluid
- 1 Psychostimulants + Separating Agent = 1 Chem Fluid
- 100 Burner Fuel + Separating Agent = 1 Chem Fluid
