The Practice Mode (called Training Mode in the Japanese version) is one of the modes in Resident Evil: Resistance, there are two variants of it, one for the Survivors and another for the Mastermind. In both modes, players are placed in a solo environment on the map of their choice where they play against AI Survivors or Mastermind.
Survivor
In this variant, players can select one of the Survivors and play a match against an AI Mastermind. The Mastermind will always be Annette Birkin and there will be no other Survivors in the match. The Annette AI will also not play any card during the match.
Players have access to the following options:
- Preset - Players can select the preset they desire for the map.
- Extended Time - This will give players a large amount of time.
- Umbrella Credit Boost - This will give players a large amount of Umbrella Credits on spawn.
- Rapid Skill Cooldown - Players will be able to use their Personal Skill and Fever Skill without any cooldown.
- Invincible - Players will take no damage from any source. The character can still be stunned, grabbed by enemies or infected.
Mastermind
In this variant, players can select one of the Masterminds and play a match against four AI Survivors who will always be Samuel Jordan, Tyrone Henry, January Van Sant and Valerie Harmon.
These AI Survivors spawn at a pre-determined locations in each Area and they will not move, attack enemies or free themselves from restraining effects. If killed, the Survivors will spawn at the same location again an infinite amount of times. The Survivors' costumes will change based on the selected costume the player has for that character.
It's possible to proceed to the next Area by switching to a camera that can see the Area exit and interacting with the exit door.
Players have access the following options:
- Preset - Players can select the preset they desire for the map.
- Extended Time - This will give players a large amount of time.
- Rapid Recharge - Players will have an infinite amount of Bio Energy.
- Rapid Ultimate Cooldown - Players will be able to spawn their Ultimate Skill without any cooldown.
